Journey of Social Service
Like any other son Avinash joined his father`s profession as a lawyer but since
beginning he dreamt to become headmaster of a school. Culminating his dream
to reality in 1996 he started a School “ Blossoms”, in Meerut with 3 children and 2
teachers. Introducing new concepts in the field of education through his school it
flourished in the past years. Now the schools is from Nursery upto 8th standard
with a strength of 400+ children. In his journey so far Avinash never
compromised with his ethics and values to run a school.
Avinash always wanted to serve the society and the Seeds of service were sown long back while studying in Doon School. In the year 2001 adding a meaning to his life he formed NGO ‘ Gyanoday` with an objective to provide education to underprivileged children who have immense talent and potential but they don`t get a right platform to nourish and flourish it.
Hence came into existence the first school named as ‘GyanodayVatika’ on 4th October 2001 in the slums of Jawaharnagar locality of Meerut where over 300 families lived.
Since then he never looked back and thousands of underprivileged children are now associated with 22 GyanodayaVatikas. In these Schools a 4 edge curriculum namely Head+Heart+Hands+ Health is followed which is an approach to a Holistic education.
Through these Schools many underprivileged children have been educated who are now working in the mainstream leading a happy and successful life.
These GyanidayaVatikas are now being run in partnership with TheDoon School Old Boys Society and recognised by Institutions like Tata Trust and individuals like VikramLal of Eicher Group, YogeshGarg , Abhay Gupta, Trilok and PuneetAnand and RakeshKohliofMeerut management Association.
His goal is to uprise self esteem of children, they would go to school and return
with their head held high and to ensure Renaissance of Education System in India.
