Sushil had experienced hardships right from his early childhood. Facing faced the
trauma of partition in the country his family came to Meerut from Sialkot
(Pakistan) in the year 1945 when he was not even an year old. His father who was
serving in the Army at the time of partition joined the family later. Facing all odds
in life Sushil studied hard and became a successful and well known surgeon of the
city . He had started his practice in 1980 and is currently General Surgeon at Suri
Nursing Home of the city.
Having faced hardships in life Sushil always wanted to pay back to the society by
selfless service. The seeds however were sown long back in his childhood by his
Nani(Maternal grand mother) Draupadi Devi. He acknowledges her great influence
on him right from the childhood .
His journey in social service however started in the year 2007 when he started Nirog Charitable Clinic at Bacha Park in Meerut where free medicines were given to the poor patients. Meanwhile he also started working towards awareness for eye donation . This continued for almost ten years until he decided to contribute in his own way by fighting out with hunger. He decided to provide food to the poor at a nominal price and introduced a noval project that he named as ‘Sab Ki Rasoi’ . Under this project putting his own money Sushil decided to offer the poor of the city a meal at just Rs 5 per head . The first unit was inaugurated on 17 June 2017 at Bacha Park. It soon became popular around the city and people from different sections of the society started extending the doctor their support for a noble cause such as this. Since than there was no looking back and now there are five vans and five rickshaws that serve the food to 5000 poor people in the city, six days in a week for Rs 5 at 10 different locations viz Bacha Park, Medical College, Zero Mile, Jail Chungi, Sanjay Van, T P Nagar, Partapur Gagol Road ,Kankerkhera,Mawana Stand , Kutchery . So far he has a team of 30 paid workers who are involved in this project .The doctor has now converted his Bacha Park Clinic into a kitchen for Sab Ki Rasoi where food of 5000 people is cooked. He also had got registered ‘Sab ki Rasoi’ as a trust . Now they also provide free water to the people .
