India and 16 Countries heading towards acute water crises
New Delhi Aug 7, 2019. A survey conducted by the US based World Resource Institute (WRI) reveals that world’s 17 countries including India is heading towards an acute water crises. The findings of the institute are based on its 13 parameters which include ground water level and its depleting status. The report says that India stands at 13th position when it comes to water crises and the fact that India is also the 2nd most populous country in the world, which makes the situation worse. However, the officials of WRI also said that India could easily get rid of the problem by formulating a better water management strategy.
